in interning with us!

We take on 1 intern per semester (Fall, Spring, Summer) in the areas of graphic design, social media, video production, or web design. Interns have the option to either focus in one of these areas or on a little of everything. Interns will expand their portfolio with us by working on projects for local clients. To be considered for our internship, you must fill out the form below, and submit a portfolio of works.

Please Note: This is not a paid internship.

Applicant must…

  1. Be 18 years of age or older.
  2. Be a Cecil College VCP student that has at least 20 credits in the department OR already have a related degree in the area of fine arts, visual communication, or design.
  3. Be currently enrolled at the college as an undergraduate, graduate, or professional student.
  4. Fill out the application in its entirety and provide a portfolio.
  5. Provide an internship proposal after submitting your application, and after speaking with us. The proposal will include your goals, days of availability, and other pertinent information. This is a required document needed by Cecil College which will have our signatures, your signature, and the signature of a VCP director.
  6. Have a high interest in the area they wish to focus.
  7. Have a positive attitude and high motivation to meet deadlines.
  8. Have an aptitude for multitasking.
  9. Be familiar with Apple products, as we work mainly with Macs, (or at least a willingness to adapt).
  10. Have reliable transportation to come to the design studio.

Forrest Wall

Fall - Spring 2017

Forrest graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently attending Delaware Technical Community College for an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, with a focus on computers and instrumentation. He hopes to learn software, web design and video editing skills through his internship.

Sheila McGinnis Intern Grunge Muffin Designs

Sheila McGinnis

Fall 2016 - Spring 2017

Sheila is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer who graduated from the University of Delaware with a BFA. She is currently attending Cecil College to learn the Adobe Creative Suite to bridge the gap between her fine art background and the digital world. Sheila has known Meredith since high school and her internship focuses on designing for newsletters, web, and print.

Jade Wampler Intern Grunge Muffin Designs

Jade is the owner of Forteh Creations and is the creator of Pastelmancer, a web comic that she writes and illustrates. Pastelmancer is a fantasy/coming of age story about a necromancer named Landon, her friends, and a grand adventure across the dystopia they call home. Jade came to us to learn about branding, web design and development, and adapting illustration for clients.

Heather is a very talented illustrator who came to us to expand her professional skill set. She has an associate’s degree in Graphic design & Multi-Media from Cecil College. She is the owner of Hellien Art and when she’s not doing commission work for local clients, she is traveling to conventions throughout the year to showcase her personal artwork.
